Who is Tom: Tom Laing-Baker works in Mergers and Acquisitions for KPMG. Tom originally trained as a lawyer before joining KPMG 11 years ago. He specialises in the alcohol sector, which for someone who doesn’t drink, is rather interesting.
Tom’s shooting career: Tom has had a rapid progression in the shooting world. He started shooting at Lancing college, and after a 20 year break took up full bore shooting with the LMRA. Over the past 4 1/2 years, Tom has represented the County of London and England, in both the Mackinnon and National. Canada will be Tom’s first GB cap, following a very successful 2016 imperial, where he finished in the top 20 of the grand, won the Sunday Aggregate, and made his first Queens Final.
Tom’s personal life: Most people laugh when they hear Tom has a life outside shooting and work, he does however spend what time he has with his old border terrier Archie and enjoys running and travel.
Amusing fact or fun fact: Tom must also be the only person at Bisley to be seen wearing shorts and flip flops almost all year round…
